A/c Servicing

Featured Replies

How much approx would servicing for an A/C system in a large villa ... 20 ac units in 10 rooms.?!

Oh nice one, Miracle Thailand and all that, hope you told them to swivel.

Depending on where you are I would pay no more than 700 baht per unit, and that includes topping up gasses if required.

Will check if there was anything beyond just the service but think not ... One central room for all the actual units if that can make any difference at all.. And in Phuket so would be on the upper and of prices!!

The majority of the work will be done in the individual rooms, eg cleaning of filters etc.

Even if at the upper end, 1,000 per unit would only be 20k, and even that is taking the piss.

There are 4 daikin vrv2 inver units in the main room ... Will have to check on actual number of units in rooms ... Bedrooms have 2 with 2 control panels ... Kitchen and living only one panel but looks like 3 separate outputs

Where are you in Phuket, I live near Laguna and use a guy who is very cheap and very reliable, pm me if you want his number, he doesn't speak much english so you may need a translator

we have 5 air cons just got them all serviced art 500 baht each man was here for about 4hours

I also get mine cleaned and serviced for 500 Baht each. I usually only do two at a time, because I normally only use two regularly. So that means he also has to call on my house for a small amount of work. I think a few times, I had a problem with only one, and still I wasn't charged more than 500. If I had 20! at once to be cleaned, I am sure I could negotiate a discount ...but I am in CM, not Phuket.

Maybe when you are seeking quotes, you should ask the price per aircon, without mentioning how many you have, and after you hear the number, you should ask again for "what about for a discount for doing 20"? Or for doing 10, then ask for the price for 20? I think they are trying to ream you, thinking you must be "so rich" if you have 20 aircons?

Mine was 500 baht for one unit including gas. I am in Kathu, he doesn't live far from me.

Yes I'm sure seeing a big villa can easily double a quote! Worth a try I guess.

400 bht per unit in Pattaya, and I'm told if you are servicing more than 2 the price is dropped to 300, 30,000 seems quite ridiculous.

Indeed. Same same for me about a month ago. The bloke was here for ages because small part broke and he had to replace it, but it was still 400B including gas.
