Cheesecloth

Featured Replies

I wonder if any TV readers know where I can buy cheesecloth in Bangkok? actually need it to make home made cheese,

cheers

Do you mean that material that some indian hippie shirts are also made from .

If so there is a material shop in Seacon that sells it . It is the opposite end away from the Tesco end and is on the 2nd floor i thinks but when we went there a lot of people knew where it was. They also have another shop near in Sukhumvit too between Suk 71 and Suk 77 where they sell sewing machines etc. Have not been to that one even tho i live close to it.

Sorry can't be more accurate as i don't have their card with me anymore.

Ask for Pha Dip. That is cheese cloth in Thai. Plenty of Textile shops at Phahurat (near Western end of Yaowaraj road in China Town).

Thanks for the responses, I will try them this week end

Cheers

I make cheese on a weekly basis. I use these fabric diapers (what is it called?), and buy them at baby's department stores.

I am happy to see other people make cheese in Thailand. Where do you get the rennet and other cheese making ingredients?

I make a very simple white cheese. If you are still interested let me know. It's very easy to make.
