I was wondering how fast it is here in general and also how often it goes down. I have been told TrueMove H 3G has the best coverage in Thailand but am not sure how it compares in speed and reliability to DTAC in Chiang Mai. Thanks for sharing your experience. bobl Posted January 31, 2013 Share Posted January 31, 2013 Depends very much on area but speeds are adequate, imho, and DTAC vs True is a bit "six of one half dozen of the other". True-H (CAT) does seem to have better coverage than DTAC in rural areas. If you can - I know it's a pain because CAT still don't do prepaid - get a CAT chip rather than a True-H chip. True-H have reduced their FUP speed (the speed you're reduced to once you blow your xxGB allowance) to 128kbps while CAT are still 384kbps.
