Well, I didn't say those things, but for me personally, I've invested too much here for too long to just walk away just at the moment. However, if the time comes and I decide I want to or need to, I'll do so in a hearbeat and not look back (plus I get to bitch about another country).

You seem confused so let me help you out. "Thailand" is comprised of the following.

1. The land itself. Truly astonishing in its depth and variety.

2. The Thai people themselves. With a few exceptions , if you travel extensively here, you will meet some very nice people. I have.

3. The government. A completely absurd group of people whose only agenda seems to be to loot the country. This is where most

of the ire of TV visa long term expats is directed at, including myself.

I have often thought that if Thailand had a wonderful and honest government, this truly would be paradise on earth. But I do not see

that happening anytime soon short of a true revolution...

My question would much rather be: where have you come from all those years ago and where did you leave things like "critical thinking", "asking questions", "looking for problems and working out solutions"?

If you can not see the problem with this survey, I guess you may have been brought up in the USSR, where you had to swallow everything, that someone shoved down your throat!

I am proud, coming from a country, where they tought me to think and to question.

I like Thailand a lot for many reasons: the constant lieing and bribing and pulling numbers out of their @$& to support the picture of a fictional country, is what turns me off!
