3X60 Day Visa & "enter Before Date" On Passport

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a visa related question and will be grateful for any advice you are able to provide.

I hold a British Passport and arrived in Thailand with 3 x 60 day tourist visas purchased from the UK. I extended my first 60 by 30 (1900B) and am coming towards the end of my 2nd lot of 60 days.

My current 60 day visa (did a visa run to cambodia) ends on February 13th. Ideally I would like to extend this 60 by another 30 as I did previously. However the original visa sticker (issued in the UK) states enter before February 7th.

My question is, if i go for an extension on the 13th Feb, will I loose out on my 3rd and final 60 day visa?

Does the "enter before" date mean "use all 3 visas before the 6th or loose them" or does it mean just get the ball rolling before the 6th Feb?

Worst case scenario I figure I will do a visa run on the 6th and start my 3rd and final lot of 60 days. Is this what the deal is or can I extend on the 13th Feb then do a Visa run again in March. This would be my ideal scenario.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to read this and any advice you may offer.

KR,

Chumbinho

Your final entry must be made before 7th February.

You would then get your final 60 days which can be extended at Immigration by a further 30 days.

It looks like you applied for the Visa rather too early. Valid from the date of issue.

Ignore the stamp in your passport that says 13 FEB. You must use all three emrties on/before the "enter before date, 7 February, on the visa. If you leave Thailand after that date you will loose your third entry and when you re-enter you will only get 15 days by land or 30 days by air. The visa is a "ticket to enter Thailand", it expires on the enter before date! When you enter you will get 60 days that can be extended for another 30 (1900 baht) even though your visa has "expired".

I think the validity is 6 months for the Visa's, so you should have got it as close to the date of leaving as possible.
