jaapfries
IMHO it is an extremely judgmental and racist article-heading ! To mention the nationalities within the article; fine; but why must it be 'screaming' at the top ? ? ?
londoedan
IMHO it is an extremely judgmental and racist article-heading ! To mention the nationalities within the article; fine; but why must it be 'screaming' at the top ? ? ? Good point and I thoroughly agree. I'm surprised they could get one of the vehicles into Burma though - must be driving home.
lonewolf99
This is not racial nor is it judgemental. Every headline in the press in Thailand mentions if it was a foreigner or local involved in any incident. i.e. Dane / Fin / Brit / German jumps/falls/pushed from balcony/robbed by Thai Lady boy This is not the first case of this theft happening. It is the first case I have seen reported in the press. This "racket" is carried out by one nationality and they all drive over the same border. How about a headline that says "Bad person steals cars and drives home via Burma to the country next door"? or "Dark tanned guy with Cliff Richard quif wearing a long sleeved dress shirt, black dress trousers, black leather shoes with no socks steals expensive cars to order and drives home" Thailand is one of the few countries I know where you can hire cars for cash. A 500 pound deposit is chump change to handover for a 2 Million Baht SUV. Then just drive off into the sunset. Surprised about Burma ? Do you think bribery does not exists outwith the Thai border...? To mention the nationalities within the article; fine; but why must it be 'screaming' at the top ? ? ? Don't think it was judgmental at all, it was apparently factual. Neither was it "screaming" at the top, it was mentioned in the same tone as the other words in the title. Would you be screaming "racism" if the alleged theives were mentioned to be British or Dutch, for example, or any other Nationality?

It's never racism if your skin is white, you should know that by now.
Basil B
I would say it is an assumption that they are Indian, presume the only clue to the nationality is the passports, and they were fake...

Langsuan Man
I guess next the politically correct brigade will outlaw the use of the term Nigerian scam for confidence fraud, since it unfairly targets the Nigerians
