So now we have the reason for arrest. Unfair competition.

I'm inclined to agree- this guy was a little too clever for his long term well being.

Sora Win - Win for all concerned. The cops can spin and show us how efficient they are; the public can be reassured that "foreigners" are the root of all problems here; and the competition can preserve their profit margins (and kick a little upstairs)

The police in Toronto target known black drug dealing neighbourhoods where shootings are a daily or weekly occurence. They recently got into trouble for keeping a list of black men that they were targeting in the Jane/Finch area. Crime rates for murder and narcotics are higher than in other parts of the city.

I am really sickened that this type of threads provides the racists among the forum users to express their bigotry openly.

If a white guy is arrested for drug dealing, there are some bigoted comments, but very few. However, if a black guy gets arrested for it, there are maybe at least five times more of those bigoted comments.

I like this forum in general but the high no. of bigots really turns me off at times.

Surely, condemn drug dealing (I condemn it too) but for phuck's sake, leave your racism out of here !

I approve of racial profiling if that profile happens to be committing the crime , same as terrorism , if it's Mid East / South Asians carrying out the attacks , then it's they who should be looked at more strictly !!

Sounds like basically he pissed of the other dealers and people with their fingers in the pie because they lost money. No surprises!

Obviously breaking the restricted industries law, by operating in a market in which the Thai's are apparently not ready to compete.

It astonds me sometimes how badly pooyais can put their foot in it. Why on earth explain that part of the reason to arrest him was that he was selling at below market price. Are the insinuating that by doing so he was making it more widely available, and that if the price is kept higher this is ok?

Nope. Him selling at a lower price than his competition certainly wasn't the reason for arresting him. Where did you get that? They mentioned it because it's part of the overall story.
