just another normal day in pattaya ..... whistling.gifwhistling.gif

Unfortunately these tossers are now filling the streets of Phuket, there was no Ukranians or Russians 4 years ago.

I totally agree! What does surprise me though is that it seems OK to have a go (as it should be with certain "tossers") and label them as what they appear (as a majority of opinion)

What bugs me is that if I was to say something along the same lines about Blacks / Africans - I would be a racist, if I said it about the Israelis I would be tarred with the usual "anti semite", or if I said it about the gay (not happy) community - I would be homophobic. Seems for the moment it is acceptable to hate the Ruskies!!!

Freedom of speech should be about the freedom to hate anyone we like.

That’s a coincidence; this is very similar as to what Hitler said just prior to WW2. Have you been reading mein kampf again?

There is a difference between free speech and verbally attacking people, not for who they are, but for what they are, and that is never acceptable, under any circumstances.

In my opinion, I find the East Europeans much more tolerable and civilised than some other nationalities I wont mention and also considering, they did win the war for us. Just think? If the Nazis would have won, there would not have been, any blacks, any Gays, any Jews, any Poles or any most other East Europeans left on the planet to hate. Now, wouldn`t that have made life boring?

And BTW; what nationality are you? Braindajew.

OK, to get back on track as to the actual theme of this thread, this is my take on what possibly could have happened. Not certain, but possible.

The guy goes into the store to make a purchase. Something happens, it could be that he was short changed, over charged, received bad service or one of the staff was rude to him, anything is possible.

Then the guy tries to rectify the mistake with the staff or becomes annoyed if they were discourteous towards him. Being not able to speak English or Thai and trying to convey his message to the staff, the staff start to grin thinking the situation is funny watching this farang complaining. I’ve had similar experiences in the past but my situation is different because I can speak some reasonable Thai and know how to deal with it. Then the whole situation escalates, gets out of hand and the guy loses his rag. The rest we already know about.

As I said; this is possible.

Looks very much like a Guy who went Ballistic in a Bangkok hotel I was staying in ( 690 Barht per night ) , when he realised the Water he was drinking In Room was not the " Free " water , 150 Barht per bottle X 2 , meant he could of stayed in a much better place .

The guy here was obviously drugged , really these Eastern Europeans do have far too much of a presence all around the place these days ..Let far too many in . And speaking generally , they have the most horrendous nature , and certainly make their fair share of Trouble .

One has to wonder where he procured the knives from? Couldn't be a restaurant, Thai's don't use them, if they did they would just bend easily. Could have brought them from the Ukraine I guess, in his checked bags.

Probably just bought them from a street vendor, along with some Viagra and some field glasses. thumbsup.gif

One would only wonder that if one didn't know that one could obtain knives from, probably, hundreds of places locally if one wanted.

Perhaps his holiday was coming to an end and the prospect of spending time in a Thai jail was more appealing than returning to his life in the Ukraine.

As somebody from that part of the world recently reported, these visitors are from the lower end of the market, here because of subsidised "cheap package holidays"

SADLY One starts to wonder if here really is "Paradise" and a place to spend your retirement.

He painted the letters “M” and “I”

R-A-C-L-E Thailand - should've let him complete that. rolleyes.gif

Dont think so, he cant even speak english so writing MIRACLE is way off the mark. Lets start with Ukrainian scripts, or just assume he was high on something judging his location and hour of going beserk.

Ukrainian script is a regular Cyrillic with an "i" thrown in. There is a krapload of words starting with M in Ukrainian, and I don't think the second letter was an I too. Anyway, unless there is a followup, all of our speculation is just... er... speculation

Whoever would have thought it... speculation on Thaivisa.. well I never..

He might have been pissed off that his visit didn't meet the claims of the advertising. He expects a tropical paradise of happy smiling locals only to find that its full of hookers and that everybody is trying to rip him off.

"He expects a tropical paradise of happy smiling locals ..."

This pretty well sums up why so many farang on TV seem to be in a permanent state of rage. The expectation that they would come to Thailand and the unworldly natives would regard them "as gods who came on big metal bird in sky."

Then when it turns out the locals see most of them as cheap sex tourists and drunkards, their make-believe world comes crashing down around them and they have to vent one way or another.

So true...the Thais I deal with on a day to day basis are head and shoulders above the average feral farang grifter you find visiting or living in Pattaya. There are Edited by OMGImInPattaya

You are wrong, they were here already then. A lady friend of mine, who used to work in a bar back then, was conned by a russian in 2008. Meaning he refused to pay afterward. :-)

Did not the world want that the "iron curtain" opens, all people live free, have freedom of movement, money to do so and that the Communism dies out!? rolleyes.gif
