I suspect that these climbing vines that are on many trees could be more correctly called epiphites rather than parasites as they don't actually feed of the tree but just use it as a convenient trellis.

It looks like Philodendron to me, but a closer image the leaves would help! tongue.pngbiggrin.png

what kind of tree is this?

8641948970_6ba761b8c6_b.jpg

It is a rainbow eucalyptus (Deglapta) I think it is spelt ) , one of the eucalyptus that are native to SE Asia. Apparently grown as a plantation tree for paper. First one i ever saw was in Nong Khai .

Ran into this fern tree quite high up in elevation and deep in the forest. Hard to tell from the photo, but it is about eight feet across.

It is indeed a beautiful plant but i think you will find it is a fan palm , most likely a Livingstonia spp.which are native to SE Asia and Australia.

We have a large Longan tree in the corner of our front yard and it is dense with flowers already meaning a large batch of fruit coming soon. Last time was nearly two years ago and we had countless boxes of fruit that we boxed up and passed around the neighborhood and some went to work with me to hand out. Taken from one of our balconies.

I occasionally run into these trees in the forest mountain biking, and they have the most beautiful flowers. They look artificial, they are that perfect!

This folks is not a photo taken in Thailand , but I did check the requirements and although I do want to stay true to the theme of Thai images I wanted to share this photo with you all.

A mere 5 minute drive from my home is this wonderful little " Oasis" where the River Gums majestically keep sentinel over the tranquil waters , where the land is unspoilt and the wildlife abounds in natures glory , often do I visit here to reflect on life when the world gives out too much to take.

I hope you can enjoy this photo
