Hello.

Due to changes, our non o is about to run out, so all the way back to England just to get a tourist visa - triple entry.

I am presuming you have to go back to home country for this visa?

Also, what is the 30 days u can have after your 60 days have expired? What do you have to do to get the 30 days.

When your 6 month visa expires, I presume yet another trip home to get a new triple entry visa.

Even with asset value because we don't have the 20'000 in the bank, there is no way we can have the year non o or even a retirement visa.. Flipping changes could of done without lol..

Thank you for replying.. I was not aware you could get a triple visa in Lao or anywhere else .. I thought you had to return to your home country ..

On this occasion it's not big deal as we will see family, but if it can be done in Laos then when the tourist visa expires I know we can go there instead.. Def much better to do

So, what is the 30 days extension.. Do or can to do 60 days then instead of going out umgo to immigration for the 30 days the. After than leave Thailand and come back same day..

Confusing at the moment.

Not confusing! You go to the Laos and get a double entry visa. It will be valid for 3 months from the date it is issued. You enter on the same day and you get 60 days permission to stay. During the last 30 days, you go to immigration and get a 30 day extension, 1900 baht. You then must exit and re-enter Thailand on or before the "must enter by" date on the visa. When you re-enter you get 60 days that can be extended for another 30. So you effectively get almost 180 days. What's so confusing?

I was confused about the 30 day extension .. At what point could you apply, so now been answered.. Thank you.

When we sell our house.. For the over 50's non o on the rule of 20,000 uk pounds in the bank do will have to return to uk for this.. If rules don't change..

Thank you ..

You don't have to return to the UK for a single entry non-o visas which is what you will need to get your extensions. You could get one at any nearby Thai embassy or consulate.

The person getting the retirement extension could do change of visa status from tourist to non immigrant at some immigration offices.

Bus since you seem to be a couple with one getting a retirement extension and the other as a dependent it would be best to get O visas outside the country because immigration will not do the change from tourist to non immigrant for a dependent extension.

According to the Savanvegas visa run,you can get a triple tourist visa in Savannakhet.I'm off there next week.I'll let you know what I get.

The third entry of the triple entry visa will be worthless because it will only be valid for 90 days.

This has already been reported for a 3 entry from Savannakhet.
