Then they did not FLEE the fire if they were standing by the road. This headline makes it sound as if they ran away from the scene.

The first headline confused me. It is not as if anyone else would not flee from a flaming vehicle. These reporters are real clowns.

Then they did not FLEE the fire if they were standing by the road. This headline makes it sound as if they ran away from the scene.

Rather confusing news item... due to poor journalism and/or translation.

Then they did not FLEE the fire if they were standing by the road. This headline makes it sound as if they ran away from the scene.

Well, they run away from the burning car. Do you suggest that they should have remain seated in the car until the fire had died out? rolleyes.gif

I think people are suggesting that the Editor does a better job... Although what word the journalist could have used to better describe this 'escapes' me !

Most headlines in Thai papers confuse me.

The original article for what thisThai garbage is worth stated that the vehicle spun and came to rest 300 meters from the point of impact. Highly unlikely as a spining vehicle scrubs of speed relatively quickly and 300 meters is a hel lof a long way to go out of control unless the impact speed was most excessive.

Primary school kids could write a more comprehensive article than these pencil necks.

4 F's aand 2 C's in the title. It's alliteration innit...

On reading the headline I thought the Russians had learned some Thai customs regarding motor vehicle accidents. It seems they were just escaping a burning wreck, albeit self caused. They need to learn the rest of the local custom and leave the area totally.
