There is a place near Emporium... Its on Sukhumvit road, about 3 shop fronts down from Sukhumvit 24 (going towards 26).

There is a good selection of equipment: Wetsuits, masks, fins, BCD, regulators etc...

I don't mean to be a smart*ss, but even if you got the name, it wouldn't help much.

I met these guys at a SCUBA trade show last year. Nice guys. They claimed they had a huge sign that "you can't miss from the BTS". I missed it- several times. Walked up the street (just like richard suggested above) and found them by the SCUBA gear in the window.

My apologies that I can't remember the name, either. Shop is well worth a visit.

Finally saw their big sign from the BTS later when I wasn't looking for it, and already know where the shop was. Typical of a lot of Bangkok businesses- their signs are too high to see from the sidewalk or street. And when I see a sign from the BTS, I don't know if the advertisement is for a local shop right there, or a generic ad for a shop somewhere else.

if you do a lot of muff diving try soi 23 sukhumvit

There is a place over near paya thai bts, you have to walk almost a kilometer northwest maybe. For some reason I forget the name of this one too.

I'd recommend gloves for that type of diving. You never know what you are going to run into down there.
