I searched for an answer, as I thought I saw this posted earlier, but cannot find now.

Is it just Sunday that bars are closed in Bangkok, or from 6pm Saturday ?

The last Bangkok city elections I was drinking at Bradmans bar on Saturday afternoon when the ozzie owner told us last drinks were at 5-15pm and all the bars were closing at 6pm that night..he was right but still managed to buy drinks at the open restaurant beer garden on soi 11(the first one on the lefthand side)with our meal.Can't clarify the exact times this election but then it was 6pm Saturday till 6pm Sunday...someone on another forum reckons it is from Friday night this time...anyone else heard anything on the closing times?
