My wife is about to apply for further leave to remain in the uk. She entered the UK on a marriage visa and we are now married.

I was looking at her passport and i noticed it expires on 29th aug 2015 , will this cause a problem with the visa application and if it does what are we supposed to do.

I'm a little concerned.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

No, it wont cause a problem.

When her passport expires and she obtains a new one she can either pay an exorbitant fee to have her FLR stamp transferred to her new passport or she can do what 99.99999% of people do and simply carry both old and new passports when entering or leaving the UK.

Her FLR wont expire just because the passport the stamp is in has.

My understanding regarding new FLR adn ILR are that they will be Biometric Cards issued and not stamps in the passport.

My wife has just applied for ILR and this is the case with her new visa
