I'd be very careful playing in that water

I believe they add chlorine or some other type of chemical with a chlorine component. When the wind blows you can smell it. I would rather splash about in that water than the water at patong beach. At least there are no chunks floating about.

still cleaner than that Gulf of Thailand around Hua Hin. Ill take the Jung Ceylon fountain over the effluent of 20 million plus people that excrete in the Chao Prya River which washes up on the beaches from Pattaya right around to Prachuap

depends on who was playing in it last as to the chunk factor
