DumbFalang
How big a problem is fish theft? From what I've read on here, it is a very big problem, but it probably depends on the area your fish farm is in. It sounds like someone needs to be 'on guard' pretty much 24 hours a day. Well well some thieving bast$rd decided to help himself to a whole heap of my fish from my top pond last night. Good timing on his behalf as we are just about to wall the place in and leave the dogs there overnight. Must have read my mind - anyway another day in downtown Isaan I suppose. Pcs23
Hi guys. Any ideas on how to get rid of what seems like weed from small lakes that we have? One of the lakes is 100% covered with a thinish layer like weed that lies flat on water surface. Someone said to use EM but I thought this would just clean the water if anything? Also another lake has what seems like layer of dead material on top causing the water to look think and murky??? I'm lost as to how to solve this!!! Any ideas would be welcomed. pigeonjake
what id did round our place a few years ago was, i put this in another thread years ago so if im repeating sorry, but if it helps, well hey, i got some fishing hooks out my tackle box tied them to line about a mtr long, tied these into trees round our farm at eye hieght, got some wood knocked nails through it and hid them in the grass so if someone steped over or through our fence at night they would step on them, then this is the master stroke, i got my misses to get the village gosip to come to our house, cant remember what she said to get her here, so i took her on a tour or our pig pens fish pond ect, making sure i pointed out all my traps and telling her i had more of them but didnt want to show anyone what or were they were, well off she went, and i can garantee she would be telling everyone, hes mad, that falangs got traps all round his place, dont go there he,ll shoot you,,,lol yes i took them all down, but they didnt know that,,,lol it worked, or they like me as ive never had anything stolen, theres more then one way to skin a cat
DonaldBattles
I need badly a long gill net for catching fish in my lakes. Need the strong twine type and not the machine made plastic ones. The plastic ones tear very easily. Does anyone know where I can find this kind of gill net or employee someone to make one for me?
RedBullHorn
Woven twine seine net is expensive and the items like rope, float, ties and weight are sold separately. You need to hire a specialist to set them altogether. Minimum length for custom-made seine net of 20m cost around ฿15'000... 40m cost around ฿28'000. (workmanship included) I have 2 seine nets... A 20m and a 50m (both size #13 twine). I bought them second-hand at a cheaper price and do the repairing work myself. Extreme repair work of a 20m net done by specialist will cost between ฿2'000 - ฿3'000. (cost of materials not included) .
