3 yearly uninterupted extensions needed. If the original 12 month 'O' gained extra 3 months by enetering Thailand just befor the expiry date, then another 60 day extension at immigration as married, is this still classed as valid or does the initial first extension need to be gained befor the 'O' expires

TIA

You were not on an extension of stay the first year. It should start with your first extension of stay, wich started after your 60 day extension based on marriage. But it could be that they will also count the 60 day extension.

(If you have a child togehter, only 1 year is needed to apply for citizenship).

Thanks for quick response. 60 days would be a bonus, was just worried that the initial extension wasnt made while the visa was valid...it was almost 5 months after the initial visa expired. So married to a Thai with a child just one year extension is required?...I guess that all the other requirements are the same...tax receipts 3 years etc?

I believe so, but might also depends on whether you apply for PR or for citizenship. Being married to a Thai a Thai national you can apply directly for citizenship, but will miss out on some points because of that. Shouldn't be a problem if you have a good income and can at least speak good Thai.
