Dear TV friends,

I want to go to Bali and stay for 2 months, rather than the -on the spot- 30 days. Can I apply for a double entry tourist visa in Bangkok? or can I get one in K.L. instead?

BTW- I am from the U.S.

30 days is the max. for tourists. If you want to stay longer you must leave the country and re-enter on a new tourist visa. You can return the same day if you want and be issued a new visa upon your arrival.
