I plan to fly to Myanmar and maybe stay more that one month, but probably just go with a normal tourist visa first. I would appreciate some advice about wich kind of visa to get, and the best way to apply for it... Flying to Thailand and then crossing the border is an option if feasible... Thank you! bangkokburning Posted March 16, 2013 Share Posted March 16, 2013 You cannot utilize a visa overland You should apply in bkk prior You can extend in Myanmar now but...if you buy a ticket based on 30days, its in the bin. *I think you can buy a ow ticket, there has never been req for ticket out but maybe this has changeld in last few yrs with all the protests. I forget when we applied if it was req, we had tixout so not relevsnt but recall I could have flown in without or just changed my ticket many yrs ago. Hope this helps.
