Hi boardmembers,

I am wondering if there is any way of marriage without community of property like there is for example in The Netherlands. My "wife" has no problem with signing anything like this before the registration of our marriage. For now a prenuptal agreement seems the only option, the problem is that I bought a lot of condo units off plan , and transfers will happen within 1 to 4 years from now. The last option is to change the name on the contracts to my brothers name who is also living here, only i hope someone here has a better solution. I would lose some TT3 this way and ofcourse its just not the ideal way.

As you said, the prenuptial is the way to go in that case.

Note that under Thai law what was yours before the marriage remains yours, only things aquired during the marriage become communal property if there is no prenup.
