“Mind Control Drug” blamed for Bar Girl robbery in North Pattaya
PATTAYA:--A “Mind Control Drug” has been blamed for the theft of 90,000 Baht from a Pattaya Bar Girl who was returning to Pattaya on Monday afternoon after visiting her Children in Sriracha District.

Khun Wipar aged 26 presented herself at Banglamung Police Station to report the incident. She was on her way back to Pattaya in a Baht Bus which stopped to collect two female passengers who sat either side of her. The first suspect was slim and thought to be aged between 25 and 30. The second suspect was described as overweight and thought to be in her Thirties.

The pair engaged in conversation with the victim who noticed they were trying to touch her skin. Moments later she began to feel dizzy and her vision became blurred.

At this point the Baht Bus was told to stop at the Lompok Market on the Northern outskirts of Pattaya by the two suspects. Khun Wipar remembers following them and withdrawing 20,000 Baht from a Krungsri Bank ATM

I also succumb to mind control every time a bar girl touches me. :(

Not entirely impossible, hypnosis can do this. I know the talent of Thais to make up the most outrageous stories though, so I go with that.

I feel my mind is being controlled, having read this absurdity.

I don't know. I've heard so many unbelievable stories in this country that have later proven to be actual fact. I would give her the benefit of doubt for now. Not that it helps much...

This has been reported on for years. The drug is called scopolamine. It is used in Columbia for criminal purposes.

Daily Mail ran a report on it last year. Check it out, including the video. If it has found its way to Thailand, this is truly bad news.

Stories surrounding the drug are the stuff of urban legends

Where is JT?

The OP mentions the Baht Bus! I was expecting some substantial input.

Those scopolamine victims from the above links report the one same thing - total lack of recollection of events while under the influence - something that the baht bus girl still has if she remembers herself going to ATM... Also I get it the drug has to be taken in (snorting in or digested), rubbing it against someone's skin doesn't do the trick...

The girl is most likely bluffing or it was a different drug...

There was something like this going on in the Philippines also, some years ago.

Yes, this has been going on for a long time. I remembered reading about similar cases in BKK, a quick search and I found it, dates back to 2005.

Damn I sure hope the bar girls and lady boys are not reading this thread...

I had to check the post date I thoughts it was an April Fool's post.

Even if true who would ever believe her she would of been better off making up a more realistic excuse.
