Hi their

Can anyone give me some advice?

I'm currently in Singapore working on a construction ship with is due to go into the gulf of Thailand working.

The thing is that i hold a Non B Visa as I live in thailand. I Just want to know what will happen when I enter Thailand as Ships crew will immigration stamp my passport for 3 months when I get to songkla.

Also i'm due to leave the ship before it leaves Thai waters I'm not sure if Immigartion will stamp my passport for 3 months and will get my white slip to leave the counrty again as i will be flying out off thailand when I'm their. I hope this makes any sense to you.

I'm sure their will be Offshore workers who have been in the same situation any help would be very grateful

thanks

typically what happens with SKL immigration is that they chop you out the country when you go offshore, if you are arriving by vessel, .then when you do the CIQ when the vessel arrives off SKL, your passport will be chopped you have arrived in Thailand and then they chop you back out the country straight away.

If arriving by air then joining the vessel, you will be chopped in as normal at the airport and if you are going on a crew boat from songkla, they will chop you out again when you get on the crewboat.

Be very careful with Songkla immigration as they have a habit of stamping the wrong things in your PP as regards stamps, certainly if you have anything other than a visa waiver...ie they get it wrong a lot as regards your permission to stay etc

bottom line is check very carefully what they have put in your PP as regards stamps

Cool, I was considering asking the same question!

But further, what if I am at home in Thailand and join the vessel in Songkla? Eg, finished work in another country, flew home to Bangkok then a month later flew to SKL to join the ship?

Thanks in advance.

Typically they will chop you out the country before you get on the crew boat in SKL, if you come back in from offshore via boat to Songkla, reverse applies..they will chop you back in.

Note this is a local regulation applicable in Songkla only, if you travel from another port in Thailand other rules may apply
