PATTAYA:--Pattaya Police have released CCTV footage from a Shrine located on Pattaya Beach which shows a man stealing donation box money after he first urinated on the promenade.

The King Taksin The Great shrine is located opposite the entrance to Soi 6/1 along the Central Pattaya section of Beach Road and is popular with worshippers throughout the year. Some will leave a cash donation in, what was thought to be, a secure donation box.

On the night of 14th April the lock on the box was broken and an estimated 10,000 Baht in notes and coins was stolen from the box. The suspected thief was not aware that the shrine is covered by two cameras which recorded the man arrive on his motorbike and sidecar at 10.55pm.

He will be forgiven, because he "needed" the money.

They should enhance the guys face picture so it might help. Urinating on a spot that is a shrine of the King could also carry a 25 year jail term. Hope they catch the guy. Almost looks like a farang.
