Lost In Translation? Chat With My Tgf Left Me Confused.

So I was talking to my girl with text and we were chatting mostly in thai with me looking up whatever I don't understand with translation software. It normally works resonably well.

However before we are about to sign off I tell her I love her and I get this back from her "รักน้อยๆๆแต่รักตลอดไปได้ปะ"
Now I get a bit upset over this. So I send back and ask her if she only loves me a little bit and she sends back "ใช่ แต่รักตลอดไป"
Now I'm really upset but she can't understand what I'm so hung up on.

Can someone explain to me if there is a significance in what she is saying.
Am I overreacting to something that is commonly said between thai couples or is this actually something that should be delved further into?

Sounds like a sensible girl.

Are you talking about your wife or girlfriend?

How long have you known each other?

How old are you both?

Are you both living in Thailand or are you seperated?

She may be taking her time to get to know you better before committing herself.

We have known each other for about two years now and we arn't married. She is in Thailand right now but around 8 months of the two years have been spent together in my house in Sweden.
I'm 29 and she is 26.

I'm wondering if it's some kind of turtle and hare saying. I've heard something similar in english. Something like the love that burns like a bonfire burns out quickly but the small carefully tended flame endures or something similar.

It's really sweet!

She is trying to tell you that you are the one for her. For good and not just for now. It's kind of a saying.

Meaning: Loving a little to make it last for ever.

Thanks alot. That makes me feel alot better.
Truly a lost in translation moment but I guess that's what we sign on for when getting together with a thai girl.
Now I feel silly for getting upset. Have to apologize to her later. Flowers or chocolate? ermm.gif

It's a saying all Thais know "Love a little but love forever"

Comes out of the same box as "Naa nua jai sua" or &quot%3

Something went wrong with my post.

It was also supposed to say :-

Thai husbands/wives and bf/gf say it to each other all the time.

Singers at pop concerts shout it out at the end of their performances.
