Many ways to stay legally in Thailand without getting married. Hence please be sure you are getting married because you want to be married.

If you do decide to marry, you can get a extension of stay base on support of a Thai National( marriage extension) You must have 400,000 Baht in a bank account or a work permit with a salary of a minimum of 45,000 Baht per month. You should try to get a non immigrant “O” visa before you arrive in your home country. If the Embassy/Consulate in your home country won’t issue one, obtain a 60 day tourist visa. In Thailand this can be change to an “O” visa and then the extension of stay applied for here.

Hi,

actually the context is missing in this post, excuse me if I ask, but what do You intend to do in Thailand, open a business? What kind of business?

Marry a Thai national gives you a right to ask for a Non Immigrant "0" visa instead a normal Tourist visa, with which you can also apply for a WP if you intend to work for a local Company.

I would suggest to get that one at first once you'll be married, then let's see how your situation will evolve

Bye and good luck,
