And The Best Pizza Award Goes To...

Featured Replies

Pala Pizza romana (mid floor between Asoke BTS and MRT).

This place is simply amazing, pizza taste great with imported ingredients, crispy paste and above all cheaper than most Italian restaurant in Bangkok.

I would place la Piola restaurant in #2, and Ronny New York Pizza in #3.

Any places I'm missing?

The Duke's in Chiang Mai has the best pizza that I have had in Thailand and they are opening a new branch in Bangkok soon.

Thanks UG. I also love Pala Pizza and try to get there every time I'm in BKK. I love the crust although it is thick. Not your typical Italian style pizza. I have to say though that it is not cheap. A slice is 80 Baht and they seem to be getting smaller. There seems to be about 10 slices per pie so that makes the pie 800 Baht for a whole.

Pala for a quick lunch and Dukes for a substantial offering.

Agree that Pala Pizza Romano is the tastiest.

BelGuardo in the basement at Paragon is my vote for #2.

THE Drifter Beach Café Soi 8 in Jomtiem

Careful. That's NA Jomtien.

Different city.

I make my own after not finding any that I liked. I put my favorite ingredients on it and enjoy the outcome. Not quite as expensive as you might think. I bought pepperoni here in Thailand but only in quantities to make 10 more pizzas. Now it is frozen until my next one.

It is a lot of work but to get something good, a little effort makes it worthwhile.

I have a Pizza place in Ban Chang called Uncle Ray's, our pizzas are stone oven made and are OK but just outside Ban Chang is Garden Stone Oven Pizzas and theirs are the best I have tasted anywhere.

Plus 1 for Dukes Chiang Mai

Pepperoni you get here is not the same as the stuff we get in US! I occasionally get some from on Amazon when ordering other things. I have tasted several brands here that claim to be pepperoni, but taste like sour smoked sauages.

Has The Duke returned to BKK yet?

And OP, I see you recommended Ronny's Pizza. That place has gotten some pretty bad reviews at Tripadvisor and other websites.. So I'm not sure what to believe about that place.

I tried Ronnies twice when I was in the hospital, both the worst I have ever had. I am another Dukes fan and have have great meals there!

Hopefully they are still aeatching for a place to open up.

Me too. I make my own Chicago style pizza. It's very easy and no more complain about Thai pizza

Scoozi Pizza. Many outlets around Bangkok. Delicious.

Madrid in Patpong gets my vote.

I generally steer clear of processed foods, but I was in the mood for pizza one day without enough time to make my own dough, so I tried the pre-made pizza blanks they have at Villa. I was amazed at how good the pizzas turned out, and to be honest, I always use the blanks now instead of making my own dough.

I give the blank a very light coating of olive oil before putting on the toppings, and that helps give it a little more crisp.

I do have a pizza stone, and my oven has the fan function, and all that helps. But I make my own sausage, import my salami and pancetta, and use all my favorite veggies (not forgetting kalmata olives and marinated artichoke hearts.)

Quite frankly, this is the best pizza I have ever had in Thailand.

Another vote for Scoozi.

Narai is also worth a try and very popular among Thais.

Foodland has in their deli a Hungarian Kolbasch (or something like that) which is similar to some American style pepperoni. I like it.

And... Ronny's get's my vote all day.

bella napoli, salami and sausage. lovely.
