There are accidents on this intersection practically every day, no give way or stop signs from either direction, disaster from day one. It is hard enough to cross safely when sober never mind sloshed, they should throw away the key on this guy.

Lets hope the victims soon recover and have health/ accident insurance!

They should could throw away the key, for the persons that plans these dangerous intersections. Seems there is no planing, just someone is told to do some road building, and they do it, the same way it was done 50 years ago,

Probably one of the only accidents here where the driver didn't run away, so I guess there is one advantage of being so drunk that.....He had to be helped to a nearby Police Truck as he was unsteady on his feet

I saw the accident a few min after it happened. The driver couldn't run away because he flipped the cement truck on its side driver side down after hitting the SUV. I'm surprised there were not any deaths given the crash. We were sure that a few people must have died given the accident site so glad to hear that nobody died (yet). The truck must have been going pretty fast because it skidded ~40 meters after the crash on its side.

My girlfriend always comments on that intersection and always says "same same Vietnam... not have any light and people drive crazy".

Shame shame shame on the traffic department of Pattaya City.

After a long period of anarchy at this intersection, they finally installed traffic lights about 3 months ago.

Pity they haven't bothered to turn them on.....wink.png
