PATTAYA:--A Motorbike burst into flames and it’s driver sustained a suspected head injury in a road accident in East Pattaya on Friday Afternoon.

Police and rescue services were called to Soi Khao Ta Lo to deal with the incident which occurred in front of Soi 8. A White Honda Click was on fire in the middle of the street and it’s driver Khun Somsak aged 20 had to be dragged to safety.

A second vehicle was involved in the accident, a Black Nissan Navara driven by Khun Sadta aged 28. He told us that he was turning into Soi 8 when he felt a jolt from behind.

Witnesses saw the bike travel down the street at a high rate of speed and the driver appeared not to notice the pick-up turning into the side street.

It was on his head.

Helmets are only there to prevent brain damage in case of accident.

According to the witness statements in the OP, he wasn't required to wear one.

I presume that's the shadow of the overhead electrical wires.

It's quite impressive.
