Metro Park - To Bts Or Skytrain

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am coming to Bangkok for 6 weeks, female travelling alone, am doing CELTA at International House. I am considering staying at Metropark but am concerned about the transport from Metropark and getting to Silom BTS or Sala Daeng MRT. The address is: Silom Road, Suriyawong, Bangrak, Bangkok, feel free to correct me if I have my trains confused.

Am running out of time and starting to get panicky as I haven't booked accommodation at this stage.

Any suggestions in the under 1600 THB per night would be appreciated. As I am travelling alone this trip I really need somewhere safe, clean, a/c, quiet, gym, pool, food easily found, reasonably close to MRT or BTS (don't mind walking 1km or so) and reliable WiFi.

Appreciate any help please.

Cheers

Hi there Poppy.

I did a small search for you for Hotels in the Silom Rd Area. The clickable link is here

Just drag the days to the ones you need.

The hotels in Black are their specials which normally the others can't offer. I've booked maybe 20 different hotels of this type and was only disappointed once. After you have booked the hotel, you get it's name and can then decide if you stay longer.

What I suggest is that you book a single night of one of the black hotels, then go to hotels site to discover the joys of staying there.

If, per chance one of the Hotels is the FurumaXclusive Silom, I don't think you will be disappointed as I have stayed at the FurumaXclusive on both Sathorn and Silom Rds.

Let me know if that helps?

I have some medicine here if ya want David?

Anyway....to the OP....anywhere on the BTS line would suffice for your needs rather than just Silom. Its pretty quick is the BTS!

Do a search for cheap hotels on the Bangkok Forum....we have suggested many just in the last few months.

Sorry David, and you were so helpful, very rude of me.

I have taken your helpful comments on board and decided on Furama, i wasn't brave enough to take the plunge and go for the mystery choice though I was very tempted Think I'll save that fro next time when location isn't so critical and my husband is travelling with me.

Thanks again clap2.gif
