Suwanabhumi To Silom(Patpong)

Featured Replies

G'day

For the last couple of years I've always stayed along sukhumvit, mainly soi 11 or soi 5 for many reasons.

One due to the easiness of arriving in my own wheels from Issan, Pattaya, Hua Hin&Suwanabhumi!

Well I've always used the sat nav(TomTom) & once you pull off the freeway your on Suk soi 1, which is another reason for staying on the odd side of Suk! It normally takes us around 40minutes to the sukhumvit hotels from airport, which is great!!

Do any of you guys know how easy it is from Suwanabhumi airport to Silom close to Patong & how long it takes?

And could anyone recommend a nice hotel for around 3000 baht??

Thanks in advanced amigos :-D

Isn't Patong in Phuket? If so then that's a long old drive.

But Pat Pong is easy.

Good luck.

Go to the next exit on the toll way, turn right, go over Sathorn, turn left at Silom and you're at Pat Pong.

Thanks whybother, I've always been worried about been stuck in traffic jams once I've come off the freeway or taking much longer to get back on the freeway than it did to get off?

Could you guesstimate how long to & from Suwanabhumi to downtown Patpong?

Cheers once again!

Fifty minutes if no traffic. In rush hour could take two hours easy.

Normally i take a meter taxi from Suvarnabhumi to Surawong street next to Patpong and it takes the taxi about 45 mins tops every time. ( around 14:00)

I never had a 2 drive. maybe i'm just lucky

LOCATION

The hotel is well located in the Sathorn business area and conveniently located next to the expressway leading to Suvarnabhumi Airport, only a 45 minute drive away from the hotel. Access to the city centre by the BTS Sky Train (Surasak Station) which connects to the hotel.

Approximately 45 minutes by car from both Airports.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport – Enter the expressway in Dao Kanong direction. Take Sathorn exit, go straight on and turn right on to Sathorn Road and keep right, make a u-turn before traffic lights and keep left. The hotel is located on the left hand side of the road.

I like the idea of walking directly on to the skytrain from the hotel....Coolbiggrin.png
