It's been officially announced that the junta has decided in accordance with the "return happiness to the people" campaign, Monday August 11 2014 will be a "special public holiday" so that people can enjoy an extended long weekend 9-10-11-12 August.

Anyone should extend their whatever well in advanced of this 4 days break.

At least in England I can get sozzled all the time.

Here, half the time when I get another holiday day, the bars are closed.

And now it's extra holiday days - free!

Feelgood days!

Plus don't forget that the sale of alcohol will be banned on Friday and Saturday as they are two important Buddhist holidays.

The booze ban will be effective for 48 hours from 12:01am on Friday to midnight on Saturday.

Better nip out to 7-11 for your prune juice before midday.

Looks like the official holiday to celebrate her majesty the Queen's birthday on the 12 August, is being extended... 9 10 11 12...

This will affect Immigration reports... at Nathon wink.png....... and those who need to go to Penang, or KL etc.....

Check before making the trip! (I am not sure where you do that! perhaps follow the link below for more details.!

It's been decided that Friday January 2 2015 will be a public holiday, creating a 5 days long holidays from Wednesday December 31 2014 to Sunday January 4 2015.

Wow .... what will I do with myself with 5 days holiday! biggrin.pngfacepalm.gif

I see on the Calender that Thursday October 23 is red letter day... perhaps you could tell us which one that is Mole!

I suspect I know, but not sure how to spell it~ !!! L K? whistling.gif

Only the red letter days are holidays here in Thailand, so everything should be "business as usual"....

I am not sure about New Years Day, I must stop at a Bank and get a new calendar facepalm.gif

All government offices will be closed both days,

They are also both bank holidays which means the main offices will be closed and incoming international transfers will not be processed.
