A triple should sound awesome if the triumphs are anything to go by. Nice stock exhaust is much appreciated and for the rest I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person. Triumph didn't realize at the time - when they made the BOI deal - that SE Asia would become a hot market for motorbikes. I am sure they're regretting that decision now even though I am not sure what they got out of it - pretty sure there was an upside too. In case people haven't noticed, Thailand - and probably all of SE Asia - is swiftly moving up the income ladder, and more money is spent on higher cost bikes. It starts with Vespas, which are everywhere in Chiang Mai now; they start at 100k. Unthinkable for a scooter only 5 years ago. Honda acted fast and is selling scooters for 70k, 100k, and 160k, as well as their normal stuff. Smaller big bikes at 150 and 250 cc are also selling really well... The other scooter manufacturers seem content to be niche players - no idea why. You'd think at least Yamaha could get their heads out of their rears and start making their T-Max line here. These are best sellers in Europe, they'd sell really well in Thailand as well, and give the Forza 300 a run for its money. Still hoping the MT-09 will make it here eventually. If parts (?) are made in Thailand that would be great news.... I don't think they'd pull a Triumph at this point in time. That wouldn't make sense. If Yamaha plays it right they have a great foundation to make sport and touring bikes for a decade. I just hope they could design them a little bit better that's all.
