If another foreigner was involved they might get something a lot closer to the truth than they would had any Thais been involved. Yes, the family appear to be fairly well set in their minds as to what happened here. It's hard enough to lose a family member prematurely for any reason, even worse when foul play is involved, and worse again when you are left without answers. Quite often recently we have seen family members and friends of the deceased join these threads, sometimes to ask for help, and other times to defend the reputation of the deceased, as some TV members can't help but make stupid and wild statements. So how about everyone remembering that when posting? Keep your wild and stupid comments to yourself, there's a family grieving here.

Popular Post mrmazinkle
I have read the liverpool echo link and I cannot imagine this family's sorrow. If only this would be a warning to all people both young and who come here and get caught up in the sabaii sabaii lifestyle.Goodluck to anyone who comes here seeking a better alternative to their life.BUT don't get complacent about it.This is not Europe or America. At last there youcan speak the language, have a support group,family...You must always keep your eye on the ball especially here...Don't let your guard down.Enjoy your time here but see beyond the facade. The games..A young man who wanted to taste the sweetness of life and maybe he did for ashort time.Such awaste of a life.I hope his killer will be caught and his family gets justice.
wealth
there's most likely an organized anti-foreign force in play as we can see in so many other similar cases. Currently many(most) Thais are worried about the massive inbound of foreigners in black, white and yellow.

ratcatcher
"Parents Linda and Gary said police officers told them a man from Bootle had been arrested at the scene and was being held by Thai police." Perhaps we will hear what the arrested suspect had to say. R.I.P. Mr Taylor, it looks like you were enjoying your life before you were taken away. This is not the time or place to cast aspersions on the man, his choice of friends or anything else. He has a grieving family back in the UK wanting answers.

I don't think "most" Thais actually give a rat's rectum about the numbers of foreigners. Most Thais have nothing to do with foreigners. They are more concerned with mundane things like the cost of living and what the government is doing to improve their lives.

lemonjelly
Might've been one of those 'shove off' moves that often precedes punches being exchanged rather than a deliberate effort to send the guy plummeting. Was the balcony wall below waist height ? Out of interest where did this happen….anyone here know him ? Edited June 19, 2013 by lemonjelly

I've now been called every name in the book. (Perhaps my comment had more to do with the international press and their love of painting Thailand with the "Land of Whores" brush?)

geriatrickid
Was the deceased employed? And if so what was his job? The echo reports that he invited some chap back to his apartment. It's rather depressing to read that the fellow die because he was showed some kindness/hospitality to someone from his hometown. It would be interesting to know the additional circumstances of this case.

chooka
They say a guy from Bootle had been arrested at the scene. I would assume that the offender was a fellow Englishman. Could there of been a bit of skylarking between a couple of English mates?

Just take all the ladyboys here for example. "most people here in Thailand are not what they appear to be". I wonder what they actually are then? "Just take all the ladyboys here for example." Where should we take them? They seem to be located in areas where it best suits their purpose in life. Some are successful business people, some are entertainers in Thai movies and TV and some enjoy the alternate lifestyle of the bar and club scene. Most people who have lived in Thailand for a while are able to distinguish one from regular women.
