Two armed robberies in 20 minutes at North Pattaya Convenience Stores

PATTAYA:--Two armed robberies within the space of 20 minutes occurred at two 24-hour convenience stores in the North Pattaya and Banglamung areas early on Tuesday Morning.

The first robbery took place at 3.20am at a branch of Family Mart close to the Tungla Temple in Banglamung. Two men wearing safety helmets, which concealed their faces, entered the store with one of them carrying a gun and the other a knife. Using force, one of the shop assistants was grabbed around the neck and forced to hand over 10,000 Baht. The men were then seen to leave on their Honda 125cc Motorbike.

Police attended and saw the incident play-out on the stores CCTV system but as they were watching the video a second call came in to attend a second armed robbery, this time at a 7-Eleven convenience store in Soi Sukhumvit 21 in North Pattaya.

Thailand seems to be full of lunatics with guns. So I guess when they get tired of shooting people at their local pub, and they need to raise some fun money, time to use those guns to rob stores.
