very good english speaking big bike motorcycle mechanic in phuket?

Featured Replies

does anyone know of a fluent english speaking motorbike mechanic here in Phuket? [or a knowledgable rider with skills and tools to fix things]

i have a complex problem with ABS brakes that i cannot fix and cant explain to the thai mechanics how to trouble shoot the problem rather than just keep throwing unneeded parts at it [some of which are very expensive]. i have tried a few bike shops and i cant get them to listen or understand what i need to be done.

rather than bore you all with the details the issues are here on the bike forum:http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/648888-kawa-ninja-650r-abs-problem/ ]

illy

I would go and speak with Tam, the owner of the Tamarind 2 bar in Rawai.

He's not a mechanic, but, he rides big bikes and speaks excellent English.

He will know a good mechanic.

The guy by Chalong post office does most of the big bikes and Tams. Can't think of his name though.

I know one mechanic at Ao Por who speaks good enough English and fixes & builds big bikes.

thanks folks, I will try the chalong guy as i live there.

a "farang" who rides and has good mechanical knowledge and tools would be great too as I need a few complicated issues testing out [very hard to explain to Thais as its rather technical] to see what the problem is before I start spending quite large amounts of baht!!

I would pay for their time of course
