TAT hosts drum festival

Featured Replies

BANGKOK, 28 June 2013: Thailand’s National Theatre in Bangkok will host a two-day International drum festival organised by the Tourism Authority of Thailand 5 to 6 July.

Admission is free to all drum and dance performances by artists and musicians from India, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.

The festival will encourage global friendship and cultural harmony by showing the important role of the many different kinds of drums in music. It will also demonstrate how drums have been used for festivals, weddings, processions, ceremonies and other national, religious, cultural and state events for generations.
