I'm not trying to be disrespectful to anybody within the EU in this post but with all the new rules for non EU partners trying to get into the UK.

Do you feel the government contradict themselves ?

Non EU people need minimum yearly salary , English tests , no benefits etc

EU people are coming to UK getting free health care , benefits , don't speak English etc

Croatia Romania Bulgaria have now become part of EU recently so do the UK goverment not need to focus on this situation more that the low amount of non EU partners trying to be with there lived ones, who majority are British citizens .

I feel that they are going against people who are born and paid tax within the country all there lives .

I hope I haven't offended anybody , I have many friends from Europe in the UK

Dave.

This is a Thai visa forum so the discussion will probably either go round in circles or be locked before it goes round in circles!

UK voters do not discriminate between immigrants from the EU or non-EU. they are immigrants!

The facts of life are that EU protects the right to travel and work anywhere in the EU for EU citizens and individual governments have little control.

It looks good and gains/fails to lose votes to be seen to be tough on any immigrants they can control!

Well, there is the UNION aspect to the European Union you are forgetting about.

It isn't as if Brits don't go off to live in other places in the EU and benefit from reciprocal rights. Swings and round abouts.

But alas, I shall turn this thread over to the little englanders who will be along shortly.

There are a lot of young very hard working EU migrants in the UK paying taxes and making a contribution taking jobs that the lazy yobs you see hanging around Job Centres refuse.

However there is also the beggars and bag snatchers.

How do you decide who comes in and who does not.

Let's not forget the Costa del Sol used to be called the Costa crime and was home to many UK criminals.

Spot on, certainly not the place for this type of discussion.
