If only the roadworks at the intersection of the Superhwy were completed, it would not feel that 1.7 millon people live in Mai Rim.

I am thinking of starting a construction works observation club, for pure entertainment. I think it would be more fun than playing golf.

No handguns allowed. I certainly found a shop or two that sold them. Almost bought one for my wife, till we went to a firing range and I tried to teach her how to handle one. Dang near scared 10 years off my life, dispite all of my frequently repeated safety instructions. Must be my teaching manner as I've been trying to get her to learn how to drive (something husbands should leave to test pilots or stevie wonder) the car I bought her last year. Shes driven it a dozen times, just prefers to be chauffered by me.

I noticed several replies that it is easy to get around. HOW? I think it is as congested as Bangkok but doesn't have the sky train or subway.

Naa, Bangkok is a lot worse. And here there are many many 2benches, and now buses.

And you can even drive a motorbike with due attention (well maybe it's because I come from Italy and I don't find it to be such a disaster I'm trained ya know!)

And even a walk will get you in a lot of places in 20-30 mins (try that in bkk )

I admit, the skytrain and the sub are just great, apart for the &lt;deleted&gt; A/C on your neck
