Dermatology clinic needed

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of a clinic in the area for skin treatments? Not for beauty (that's too late for me). I just need a bit of laser work done. I will go to a hospital only if I can not find a stand alone clinic.

Taken from the list of pinned medical practitioners on the top of the page.

DERMATOLOGY (Skin)

Prof Dr. Siri Chiewchanvit

119 Moonmuang Road, A Muang,
Chiang Mai 50200. Tel: 053 357085

Dr Ekarach Amornrungsun

Rajavej Hospital, 053-801999

That was easy try to find a Nutritionist.smile.png

I did consult the pinned list. Is that it for a place as large as Chiang Mai I wonder.

Didn't see the dermatologist I use at Chiang Mai Ram on the list - CHATBONGKOCH KHEMACHEEWAKUL,M.D.

I've used her for a few mole removals and to evaluate a Basil Cell carcenoma. Seemed skilled enough to me and used both Cryo and laser depending on the size/depth of the growth. Ram has a few others but can't vouch for them.

Pretty hard to answer some one who is being picky.

He dosen't want the doctor to work in a hospital. I give him an answer and he says is that all.

As for your Dermatologist not being on the list hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm maybe the perpetrator of the list needs a good talking to.tongue.png

Hopefully if you make anymore posts you will be more useful rather than just a grouch. Have a nice day.

There's almost certainly more than just the three that are talked about here but these are the only ones recommended by TV members. I personally think Dr Siri is very good and on that basis there's no need to look any further, but that's just me.

VACHIRAPORN SUJARITWANICHPONG, M.D., MS in DermatologyBoston University has returned to Ram is also good. Recommended by many in the past.

Thanks for that update. Remember she was out due to pregnancy. Seen many glowing reviews by members regarding her.

De nada jefe. I think she might also have been back to Boston for more training or work there.

I have decided on Dr.Siri Thanks guys.

I have decided on Dr.Siri Thanks guys.

Good choice,I've used him a couple of times.

His clinic is always packed out with teenage girls, wanting their pimples evaluated.

I specifically recall the words, "cute as a button" and, "what a fox".

So is the new one I mentioned. But that is just a perk for the guys and no bearing on making a choice. biggrin.png <ladies, I'm just kidding you know>

I have received a recommendation for her from one of the highly-respected general practitioners in town.

Before, I visited Rajavej and was NOT impressed.

Dr. Siri must be taking some time off. The last couple of visits to his Moonmuang clinic there was another senior CMU doctor covering for him.

He can only take so much, checking the bodies of all those spotty teenage girls clamoring to see him wink.png

Hmm need to find out what's happening as I have found him excellent.

FTR - Dr.Siri no longer has clinics at Sripat, only his clinic on Moonmuang and Maharaj Hospital.

Tywai's recommendation looks interesting.wink.png

though from her CV it looks mostly cosmetic stuff. Anyone have experience with biopsies with her?

She does see a lot of patients re skin cancer, some over many years and she may just be as good as you can get here for dermatology if that is your interest. No biopsies by her but she read a biopsy report I gave her and had some significant considered comments.

I have. She did an initial diagnosis (visual) of a growth on my neck indicating most likely a basil cell carcinoma. She did a biopsy to send to the lab for verification and it did prove positive. Then recommended the next step and that was either a general surgeon or cosmetic surgeon as she doesn't perform surgery herself. Her diagnostics seems pretty spot on as her recommendations on various other issues such as mole removal. Really didn't get the feeling of her being specifically cosmetic and seen many there with similar issues as mine.

Have seen Drs Varichporn and/or Chatbongkoch every 3 months for the last 5 years. Dr Varichporn has only been back from the US for a couple of months.Am a chronic skin cancer sufferer and can confirm they are both excellent.

I average freezing 15 BCC's each visit and some excisions from time to time.

In the next life I will not spend quite so much time surfing and being in the sun laugh.png
