Two 16 year old students attacked and robbed on North Pattaya Beach

PATTAYA:--A 16 year old male student sustained upper-body injuries after an apparently random attack on a remote beach in North Pattaya early on Wednesday Morning.

The boy and his female friend of the same age were taken to Banglamung Hospital after the frightening attack. We caught up with the mother of the injured boy, Khun Shabapon aged 43 who described the incident to Police on her sons behalf.

He had originally gone to the beach with 10 friends. 8 of them left leaving him alone with a 16 year old female friend. Sometime later a Thai man, dressed all in black arrived on a motorbike and approached the boy. He was punched and kicked and rendered unconscious for a time. As the boy lay on the ground the man stole his mobile phone.
The girl attempted to hide from the attacker and was then subjected to an attempted sexual assault during which time her mobile phone was stolen.

The male victim soon regained consciousness and ran towards the attacker who was in the process of assaulting the girl. The attacker called-off his attempted assault and ran away towards his bike.
