BANGKOK: -- The crocodile trainer who survived a terrifying croc attack earlier this week spoke out for the first time about the near-death experience that left him with 30 stitches on his head.

During a show that went horribly wrong at Samut Prakan Crocodile Farm and Zoo, the world’s biggest and Thailand’s oldest, a tourist filmed Prawit Seabmee, 27, being mauled by a croc.

The amateur video, which went viral on social media, showed Prawit placing his head in a croc’s mouth as part of a stunt when, suddenly, the reptile snapped its jaws shut.

Prawit told Channel 7 that he managed to pull his head out in time yet still sustained multiple bite wounds around his head. The croc trainer, who has performed with the animal for four months and over one hundred shows, said that this was the first mishap that had ever happened to him.

Placing your head in any predators mouth tends not to end well..

I don't even think Steven Irwin was that bold.

If you put your head in harms way, in the mouth of a Crocodileblink.png , something bad can happen, only a matter of time, lucky he survived! whistling.gif

I think it appropriate to bring out that old chestnut "Som nam naa"

"The croc trainer, who has performed with the animal for four months and over one hundred shows, said that this was the first mishap that had ever happened to him."

Well, that's a relief!

Firstly, you cant train a Croc!

Secondly he didn't pull his head out. The croc let him go!

Surprised this doesn't happen daily.

What people do for a living. He's just lucky the croc immediately let him loose or he would probably be dead right now. But he's now averaging around 1 bite per 100 shows...now he may have clear sailing until around show number 200. Yea, I think I would look for another line of work.

The trainer should have bitten the croc back, just for show. an eye for an eye. Don't let these wild animals get away with that.laugh.png

They need to stop these dumb ass shows.

Haha

Prawit told Channel 7 that he managed to pull his head out in time

Only reason he got his head out at all was cos the Croc let go if it had chose to hold on he would of lost his head, very lucky to have only got 30 stitches from that idiotic act.

Good job it wasn't just before feed time, or he would have lost FACE.

I really hope the people don't kill the croc, I think this is what they do to any animal who attack a human, cannot trust the animal anymore. Poor croc it's not born to be a performer in the first place.

The 30-year-old crocodile is now temporarily suspended from shows.

Moved to an inactive post, no doubt. rolleyes.gif

A croc does not have the same thought processes as a dog, a monkey or a bear.

You can't train it not to close its mouth - you might be lucky the first 99 times but sooner or later it's gonna think you're its lunch. I doubt a croc would even recognise you as the same person each time.

you cant even trust a human, let alone an animal, be stuffed if i would be stiking my head in the same hole that food goes down

The guy has nuts. The guy is nuts. He is lucky he still has a head at all.

Why does this mean to some people, that now everyone around the world will think Thai people are stupid?

This individual has never watched youtube.

Get an education buddy. Go watch youtube and just check it out how people everywhere do the stupidest, most

dangerous, idiotic things, all over the world, on camera and usually they're not even being paid for it.

They're doing it for fun!!

At least if this guy is not trying to feed the croc, he is trying to fee his family.

yes the croc is "temporarily" suspended, the croc is going to get a severe talking to first before reinstatement

Hehe would of be funnier if you wrote "The guy has nuts, the guy is nuts! and he's lucky he still has nuts with a head attached... "

mmmmh, tastes like chicken!

He clearly needs to wear a few amulets.

mmmmh, tastes like chicken!

No watch again..it was the other handler who actually had hold of its tail that was able to pull it back otherwise the crowd would have really got their bahts worth when it dragged him in and deathrolled him!!

Here are 3 words for you: Siegfried and Roy!

"Prawit told Channel 7 that he managed to pull his head out in time"

Ahhh let me think about that....ahhh No! The Croc let you go after tossing you around like a rag doll!

But you keep thinking that.

Its a bit like saying "If the Croc had run off so fast I would have kicked his ass"

Moral of the story, don't be stupid and put your head in a Crocs mouth especially when you have been rubbing and tapping your stick on it prior to doing so.
