Magnetic adhesive tape in BKK

Featured Replies

Yes, I do. I saw it on sale at Jatujak Market in the craft section. There was one guy who made all kinds of magnetic things (mostly fridge magnets though) and said he could sell it at 100 baht a strip. When I asked him where he bought it, he said there are several distributors next to each other on a road in chinatown, close to saphan put bridge, sorry but I can't remember the name of it. Anyway, if you go to that market there are many who make their own stuff and have plenty of it, if they won't well it to you they can tell you exactly where to get it.

Thanks. Guess I'll head over to Saphan Phut and have a look around.

Went over to Saphan Phut...some Thais over there said to try Baan Mo area (10 min. walk). Turns out I'd been there before. It's main area for hifi, electronics, but no one knew of any of this adhesive magnetic tape there.

I can't remember exactly which road it was but he said something about a distribution outlet and not a shop. JJ market is your best bet unless someone else knows better. Regarding the market, it was on an aisle parallel to the road around the back, if you see someone making magnetic objects, and there are many, they will have it and will certainly know exactly where to get it.

Maybe you should have gone to Saphan Lek i.e Iron Bridge on Chaeron Krung Road (close to Saphan Phut). The covered area over the klong host a maze of top shops etc. Also lots of lighting and electrical dealers in the area nearby. (not stalls but proper import dealers).

Just an idea.

The need seems to have passed, for now. I'd been looking into 'soundproofing' the windows in my apartment per this idea:

...But last night the drunks were so loud, I decided to go ahead and move out to one of the places I'd looked at on the outskirts of town. 8-|
