Buying a bicycle with a decent child seat.

We're moving to a new Moo Baan next month.

We're at the far end and it's about a 1/2 km walk to the end. I'm fine with my motorbike. I'm not having my wife take our child on the scooter. No way, examples have to be set.

So time for her to get a bicycle, and a decent strap in seat and helmet for the little one. Might be over the top but lead and educate by example.

Something like any of these:

It will also have to have a decent lock, so it's locked onto the bike, as she'll be locking it up at the entrance to the Moo Baan when heading out.

Does anybody know where I can get these? We live in BKK.

When you get to the end of the Moo Baan what do you use for transport?

And no, I have never seen that ever before in Thailand. They would probably consider it the most useless invention in the history of the planet.

These seat are FANTASTIC!! Both myself and my wife have them attached to our cycles which are easy to take off if needs be.

We even set a trend of in our village where now probaly a dozen other friends use them regularly.

All the best.

Thanks Johna, interesting to see such a site, but can't find child seats on it. Will have to look further.

Thanks CCC, where did you get them?

Searching the net shows a thread from 2010 with one reply and a link to this:

Can't see a price on there yet, but good to see a Thai company doing them. Imagine they would be 1/4 of the price of a similar imported model too.

EDIT:

Actually this pic has 700b on it.

Hopefully they would have a better model for double that. I was initially thinking about 3-4k for an imported model, a good local model for under 2k would be fantastic.
