george Posted April 14, 2006 Share Posted April 14, 2006 Five terrorist suspects arrested NARATHIWAT: -- Five Muslim terrorist suspects were arrested in this southern border province Friday morning after 150 policemen fanned out to search a village in Joh Irong district. The five were charged with planting a bomb to ambush the Joh Irong police chief late last month. The 150 policemen were divided into 15 teams were deployed to check Ban Tapase Village in Tambon Bukit at 6:00 am Friday. Police said the five had set up system to alert among themselves about possible police raid. Under the emergency law anybody can be arrested, without a lawyer or even be charged with anything. The current administration must do away with this law and come up with something more humane.
