PATTAYA:--A 24 year old motorcyclist who was suspected of being heavily intoxicated lost control of his bike and hit a street pylon, head-first, causing his death.

Police and rescue services were called to Jomtien Second Road close to the Lompor Market just before 4.30am on Friday to deal with the crash which resulted in the death of Khun Sompan. He suffered a catastrophic head-injury after he was thrown from his Honda CBR 150 bike head-first onto a street pylon situated in the central reservation.

The victim was thought to be following a car and was part of a group of men who had spent the night drinking together. An empty bottle of whisky was found close to the body.

They might as well wrap padding around the poles and put bales of straw at the corners on that road. This is going to be a regular event.

Do you suggest some road commissioners with flags and ambulance on stanby as well biggrin.png

Could be funded with selling of the broadcasting rights

Yeah, may as well. Funding could also come from selling the body parts of the ones that don't survive. Back in the UK, people who work in casualty departments call young men on motorbikes 'donors'. Middle Easterners will pay good money for livers and kidneys.

Thats why I never drive early mornings in Pattaya. most accidents like these happens between 3 and 5 am .

It's my favourite time of the day to go out riding. If you're not drunk yourself there is no problem.
