Hi,

My friends and I would like to buy a console such as PS3 or Wii U but we can't find it in Bangkok. I mean we can't find a brand new one in a proper game shop. Do you know any places ? We tried MBK center but they just have second hands or modified one.

There is a shop in MBK I have used on several occassions to buy Wii consoles and games. I think they are on the 4th Floor - anyway it is the floor with all the Thai handcrafts etc, and is around middle on the left hand side as you are facing the Pathumwan Princess Hotel end of MBK. Good Luck

try the Paragon department store (Siam Paragon). I was in there yesterday, and they certainly sell the Nintendo 3DS (BHT11,900!!) and games for it - I wasnt looking for other hardware so cant say for sure, but it would be a good place to start.

There are at least 2 shops in Fortune town. Great prices and selection of games. Take subway to Phra Ram 9 stop an follow signs.

A 3DS XL (US version) is around 7k in Bangkok. 12k is a total rip off. Paragon sounds like the last place you want to go.

Anyway for the OP it is not possible mod a Wii U, so you don't have to 'worry' about that like with the PS3.
