johnnort
Hello, I run Windows 7 on my lap top with Firefox as my search engine and Gmail for sending and receiving mail. Although I have Gmail as default, each time I press ´send an Email to´ on a WEB page it opens in Outlook and not Gmail. I have obviously to change some setting or other but do not know where or what to do. Any assistance would be appreciated. Edited August 23, 2013 by metisdead Please do not post using all caps. johnnort
Thanks Jollyposty but the problem is not sending mail within gmail. The problem lies with websites that allow you to press a send mail icon within their webpage. Doctormann, I will check out the link. Thanks

aarn
Not sure about this, but is that silly 'Bing' search tool enabled in Firefox? That may be why those reply emails are opening up in Outlook ('coz Bing and Outlook are MSoft products). Uninstall Bing (Control Panel > Programs and Features > highlight Bing, then uninstall). Google and Gmail are pals, thus when searching with google, gmail should be default email tool. If what I have just suggested is pure equine excreta, a sure bet is to browse with chrome, logged in via your gmail. Cheers, AA
worgeordie
THis is also a Gmail problem ,is anyone else having problems after gmail in their wisdom, changed the way you compose and reply to an email, now I get a pop up which says something like the certificate for this page is not signed correctly, accept, decline ? and if I am replying to an email, type the first line and click to move to next line, click again nothing happens, try to move to next line and the whole page disappears, Why do they keep trying to improve things when theirs nothing wrong to start with!, Yahoo is the same go to email and a page comes up do you want to optimism Firefox or Safari for use with Yahoo, dont have those browsers ! regards Worgeordie
