samran
Just went down to Chaeng Wattana to do an extension for my wife. Basics: Non-immigrant 'O', entered 25th June. We are now one month before that entry expires, so decided to go do the extension now. All went tickety-boo, and the immigration ladies were nice enough to put the application in for 'consideration' despite us forgetting one or two things (need to bring it Monday). Given that my wife's first 90 days are in September, I thought that when we'd come to get our 'result' (ie the 9 month extension), we'd have to do the 90 day reporting at the same time. However, instead, we got a note stapled in her passport saying that the next 90 day reporting is now on the 27th of November. I thought it was a mistake "Don't you mean 27th September?" I asked, but no, it appears that this visit to extend her stay consitutes some sort of reporting. Didn't realise this was the case.
lopburi3
First application for extension of stay is regarded as a 90 day report. Further extensions will not be however so TM.47 reporting still start on the 27 November date unless wife travels before then.
