I am staying in the Middle East at the moment using my British passport.

When I arrive at the airport I received a One Month stamp in my passport, free.

At the end of that month I go to the local Security General office, (they handle immigration)

and apply for a 2 month extension, also free.

I went yesterday to apply for my extension and the officer asked what my job is.

He also commented that I have been coming and going quite frequently.

I asked if this was problem.

"Oh No, you are always welcome here," was the answer.

It would be good if the Thai Immigration dept had a similar attitude.
