No reason other than being curious what the average age of the foreign residents in BKK are.

Think that maybe compared to other parts of the country it could be a bit lower.

25, and you?

Big 40....just maturing like a fine wine. :D

  • I would think the farangs living in Bangkok, are younger,as many still have to work to earn

Don't understand the topic or why just BKK. sad.png

Topic is very easy to understand.

What age are you?

Why just BKK....because this is the BKK forum.

Sorry BKK only.

Sorry just voted by mistake. Did not see it was for Bangkok only. I am in Jomtien aged 59

"No reason other than being curious what the average age of the foreign residents in BKK are."

You're certainly not going to get any meaningful information on the average age of foreign residents. All you'll get is the (alleged) average from the few people who are members of TV and who stumble across this thread and who choose to enter a value, many of whom won't realize it's meant to be only foreign residents of Bangkok since the email alerts don't indicate forums and how will you manage a comparison to anywhere else in the country?

I can't imagine many young foreign residents bothering to spend their time taking polls on TV at the best of times and surely the foreign population mix changes depending on whether it's August or January when people are escaping winter in their home countries.

What percentage of the following do you expect to vote?

The number of expatriate executives stood at 65,000 as of November, 2005, with an average of more than 1,800 permits issued per month. Long-term foreign residents include 250,000 mainland Chinese, 30,000 Japanese (the largest community in any Asian city outside of Japan), 100,000 Indians (35,000 Sikh), of whom more than 80 percent have Thai citizenship, 6,000 Americans, 45,000 Europeans (the second largest number in any Asian city after Singapore),15,000 Taiwanese, 7,000 South Koreans, 6,000 Nigerians, 8,000 people of Arabic speaking countries, 20,000 Malaysians, and 4,000 Singaporeans. There are approximately 400,000 - 600,000 illegal immigrants from Cambodia, Myanmar, Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, Nigeria, India, Bangladesh, China, and other countries

I like the option of voteing up or down if your 25,35,45 or 55. I voted down, just to help fill out the age bracket.

Probably because you are an old fart who lives out in the sticks.... like mesmile.png

Sorry BKK only.

When I'm in Bangkok I'm 38.

Excuse us, but you didinot make it clear that you were only interested in BKK!

I voted before reading comments that you wanted to know about BKK.

I do not and would not live in BKK.

I live in the real Thailand.

Not Thai/Farangland!

Your data will be skewed due to the way you posted your survey.

I voted 60 years old, but not from BKK.

Alright Coco the clown.

The clue is in the fact this is the BKK forum.

And the fact I mention BKK in the OP.

And you being in the 'real' Thailand....you mean the sh*t part of Thailand even most Thai's don't want to live in, yeah?

I'll stick with Bangkok which is most definitely very real.

Sorry but who the *&%^ gives a monkey's about your opinion on BKK?

Who cares if you choose to live in the arse-end of Nakhon Neverbeen aka the "real Thailand"?

If your vote is irrelevant by virtue of the fact you don't live in BKK, there is a facility that allows you to delete your vote.

Feel free to make use of it before wandering off elsewhere
